Way Late on McFatty Monday

How the heck did it get to be Thursday already???? We were out of town all weekend and didn't get back home until lat Tuesday night...I guess that's how. Anyway, I ate like a pig all weekend (oops!) and haven't managed to get back on the weight loss train just yet. If anyone happens to find my motivation, please send it this way...I miss it!

I wasn't too surprised when I stepped on the scale yesterday morning (I know, Monday weigh-in on a Wednesday, what is the world coming to??) and found that I'd gained .9lbs. Really not a big deal, within the margin of error, but I do need to get back to doing that Shred if I want to lose more. Which, I do. In reading about plateaus before, I did learn that it takes about 4 weeks for your body to adjust to a new weight, and that weight loss should pick up again after that time. I'm hoping that holds true when I start up the Shred again on Monday. I just can't bring myself to deal with it right now.

On another note, we returned home to discover we'd had a bit of a home invasion while we were gone. A mouse managed to sneak into the pantry and eat a few of our dry goods. So I spent most of today clearing out the pantry and moving all the edibles to our basement fridge. Speaking of the basement, I really need to clear that out, too. It's such a project, I've been avoiding it since Ellie was born.

That's all I've got going on for now! I've been spending a lot of time working on the church website, so when that's all updated and live, I'll definitely share the link. Tom's been trying to bring his blog (hopeisnotaforeignpolicy.org) back to life, spurred on by a free review copy of Rush Limbaugh's new biography from the PR people at the publishing company. Ellie's doing great, we've got her big 9 month appointment coming up next week. Can you believe it'll be 2 months since our last pediatrician's appointment?? That's 2 full months where the most medical intervention we've had was a quick question about a rash and a double-check on her Tylenol dosing. I'm hoping they'll tell us to stop cutting her formula to 24cal/oz. Even better would be if we could get off the preemie formula entirely, but I'm doubtful that'll happen.

Starting weight: 182.7lbs
Current weight: 160.9lbs
This week's loss: +.9lbs
Total loss: 21.8lbs

Only 30.9lbs to goal!
