Tom's a regular listener of our local conservative talk radio, 630 WMAL, but yesterday when Chris Plant started talking about the proposed day laborer center here in Centreville, he had to call in for the first time. I totally agree with him on this one - hiding the day laborers and illegal immigrants behind my favorite shopping center is not going to fix the problem. It's not even putting a Band-aid on it, it's more like just pretending it isn't there. I don't understand what's so difficult about this issue...if a cop seeks a hooker out on the streets trying to sell, you can bet that hooker's getting arrested. Or a drug dealer, if a cop seeks someone making a drug deal, that dealer's getting arrested, too. Illegal immigrants are, by definition, doing something illegal...when did it become wrong to arrest and deport them?
