I <3 Etsy.com

I really do. What a fantastic idea, to have a place where crafty people sell their goods at any time of the day or night...it's like a 24 hour flea market, only better!

I spent some time this morning browsing Etsy and ended up making a few purchases! I got a few things I'd been meaning to pick up for baby (one's on sale and another may be selling out soon, so I figured I'd just get it all done at once). I still want to order a growth chart, but I'm going to wait to get the room painted and take some measurements before I go ahead with that one.

I bought this nursing cover:

So I can nurse the baby in public with a bit of my modesty intact. The whole world does not need to see my boobies. Although, I once saw my (clueless male) coworker walk up to a woman using a nursing cover and ask what she was doing under there hahaha....this same guy got razzed for years for talking about "Pap schmears" during a benefits presentation. Hysterical.

I also bought these little guys:

In orange for the baby's room. I was starting to worry that they'd sell out because they've gone through a few listings of them since I originally found them about a month ago. Hopefully by the time I get them, the baby's room will be repainted. A girl can dream, anyway.

And last, but certainly not least, my favorite:

A wrap for the baby. Love the fabric, and the quality is supposed to be amazing, plus she's doing a free organic upgrade now. I hope the baby likes it, I think Tom and Joey can attest to the fact that I'm a big snuggler, so any product that means I can snuggle my baby all the time and have my hands free is just the best thing ever.

I may or may not have also ordered an item for a certain bridal shower just around the corner *shifty side eyes*....

Speaking of baby things (since, really, when am I not?), I have decided this whole pregnancy thing is a hugely weird concept. I think the novelty of the idea of being pregnant has somewhat worn off, and I'm just at the stage where I'm waiting for some concrete evidence that there is, in fact, a baby in there. Honestly, I've never felt better in my life. I never got morning sickness, my asthma has cleared up with the progesterone from the baby, and my PCOS symptoms have even been greatly alleviated. So I know this will make some people hate me (lol), but I just love being pregnant. Check back in in approx 15-20 weeks, though. :-P

I think I may be feeling the baby now....little tiny pops and things, but so quick and so faint sometimes I think I imagined it. Plus, reference the above paragraph...when you've never had a baby before, the whole concept of having a living baby in your belly is just so foreign it's hard to wrap your head around.

So excited to find out what the baby is right now...I'm starting to doubt my inital "girl" feelings. Maybe it's because Tom's been so adamant about the baby being a boy lately, I'm not sure. It'd be amazing to have a daughter, but little boys really love their mommas, so I'll just be over the moon with whatever the ultrasound tech says.

lol it really has been great so far. I've been so blessed to not be sick at all and I love feeling almost "normal" with my asthma symptoms so much better. So at this point, I can honestly say I LOVE being pregnant :) I'm assuming you're going to have to change your visiting plans for when the baby comes, since you aren't planning on going to school now. Any thoughts?
