It has been crazy here...Ellie's teething hardcore at the moment. One tooth has broken the surface and now we're working on getting the second out. She seemed to have some relief after the first one broke, so I'm hoping the same is true for the second. She's also discovered that she can screech. Which she does to indicate impatience, anger, annoyance, etc. So, like, a lot. It sounds like a cross between a dying cat, bad break pads, and a pterodactyl. Wow, I can't believe I spelled pterodactyl right without checking. Nice. Anyway, she's still sleeping well at night, but she gets VERY cranky very quickly, her tolerance for things just isn't very high right now. Poor kiddo, it looks super painful.
This week I actually cranked out 5 different stores...Giant on Saturday for my big shopping, Shopper's on Sunday for produce (we ripped through the fruit I bought a lot quicker than I thought we would, plus I decided I wanted shredded lettuce for our tacos and Giant didn't have it), Harris Teeter for their big triple coupon event yesterday and Target and CVS today. I didn't get much at Target or CVS, but I'm all out of razors and Target was having a great sale on them, and I'm close to out of dishwasher detergent and CVS had a good sale on that, so I figured I'd hit up Target then stop at CVS on the way home. Since I did all the stores on different days this week, I don't have one picture of all the stuff I got, so I'll just have to list all the <$1 items.

Here's all the freebies for the week (ignore the yogurt, if I had managed to get the right one, it would have been free, but whatever :) I'm also missing a couple bags of white rice that I didn't realize were free until just now):
Special K Red Berries, on sale for $2.50 each, plus I had a coupon for $1.00 off 2 and a store coupon to double that $1.00 off, for a total of $1.50 per box, plus the free bag! I love collecting free reusable shopping bags, I've got quite the collection going and this is a new favorite!
Last weekend, I spent about an hour or two cleaning out my fridge and freezer (like really cleaning out, I even pulled out all the drawers and the back panel and scrubbed and rearranged everything). We had more frozen meat than I realized, so my goal this week is to use up as much of the meat as I can. We've also got a church fundraiser to go to tomorrow, so we'll be eating dinner out there (I'm getting a smoothie, YUM!). Here's the finished product, what do you think?
We now have a shelf dedicated to yogurt. I repurposed a clementine box and a formula can to hold salad dressing and condiments and cheese sticks. Speaking of repurposing, I found a great way to reuse my old breast milk containers - they are perfect for holding formula! So now if we're going out and I just need one bottle, I just grab one of those. It fits in my purse much better than my actual travel formula container.
Back to the task at hand - this week I spent a total of $91.18 and saved $56.40. That's a total savings of 38%. It's actually slightly better than that because a couple of the stores don't take into account store savings. I wish it was a bit higher, but I did get a lot of really great deals this week on things I really needed and I have quite a few freebies to bring to church on Sunday, so I'm happy!

who sent the package??
It was just from USPS, it was like a sample package. They put together a bunch of random goodies and sent it out. No clue why, but I think it probably has something to do with how no one is sending mail anymore and they aren't profitable.
Oh my goodness, I think screeching must come with cutting teeth because that whole cat/pterodactyl thing is DEAD.ON. haha!
Nice savings! I've been slacking on my coupon collecting/using lately.
Christie, I'm fairly certain you have a good excuse ;-)
