29 Weeks and Up Way Too Early

I woke up to use the bathroom around 5:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. It's 6:45 and I'm exhausted now - I can see it's going to be difficult getting back into the swing of things when I go back to work on Tuesday.
It's been a really great week so far! I'm bummed that it's Thursday already, but glad that we still have a few days left to relax and play. Today I'm meeting up with a friend for lunch, then eating a big lasagna dinner with Tom's family. Tomorrow is relaxing then dinner with my family. Saturday will be the rehearsal dinner out in Mystic and Sunday's the wedding!

My baby shower was last weekend and it was great! We had a big turnout and got lots of big-ticket items, including our car seat and our swing! We also got a TON of cute little girl clothes. Having all this baby stuff around is really making it clear that we'll have a new little life with us soon enough, and I'm sure it'll feel even more real when we get everything home. Here are a couple of pics for you!

As you can see from these photos, I've definitely gotten a lot bigger in the last month or so, and still carrying as low as ever! The good side of that is that I really haven't had much heartburn and my breathing is fine - the down side is that I CONSTANTLY need to pee. Sometimes I'll sleep through the first urges to go and wake up in a lot of pain, then have to hobble to the bathroom because the pressure of the baby on a full bladder is just too much.

In baby growth news, she now weighs about 3lbs and if she had to be delivered this week, she'd have a 90% survival rate! Still need to pack on about 4 more pounds, but we're nearly halfway there and she should be gaining about a half a pound a week now. Just about 2 and a half months left 'til we meet her!

How far along? 29 weeks

Best moment this week? Seeing all my family and friends at my baby shower...my very GENEROUS family and friends!!!

What I am looking forward to: Audrey's wedding this weekend!

Weekly Wisdom: Naps are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
