Woohoo! Even though the days seem to drag.by.so.slooooooooooooooowly, the weeks are just flying by! I remember back in March, it seemed like August would never get here, and now we're just 3 days away from it!
This has been a busy week at work for both Tom and myself - he's been wrapping up a contract and I've been preparing for vacation and maternity leave. Projects, projects everywhere! The end result, of course, is that we haven't seen too much of each other, since Tom especially has been working on his laptop until late at night for the past week or so. I'm really looking forward to all the quality time we'll be able to spend together in Connecticut - as much as I can't wait for Eleanor's arrival, I have adored my time with all of Tom's attention. We complement each other so well and have such a good time with just the two of us, that it's hard to see that come to an end, even though it'll be replaced by something even bigger and better than us as a couple - it'll be us, with Ellie, as a family.
Work today, work tomorrow, then Friday's off to prepare and have my 28 week appointment at the midwives' office, then we leave on Saturday morning! YAY FOR VACATIONS!
How far along? 28 Weeks - over 2/3 of the way to meeting Miss Eleanor!
Best moment this week? Feeling the baby throughout the day...my favorite movements are definitely her dance parties in the evenings. So fun to just lay back and feel her play!
What I am looking forward to: Heading home to Connecticut for our last pre-baby vacation :D
Weekly Wisdom: Everyone seems to have an opinion on the size of my belly, but there's no consensus! I've heard everything from "Your belly's so small and cute!" all the way to "Are you sure it's not twins?"! Oh well, as long as I continue to measure on track, I'm not worried! And if you were wondering - no, it's definitely NOT twins!
