My dad is an amazing woodworker and has agreed to make us a changing table that will convert to a dresser. So to that end, I purchased the pad for the changing table so he can work the dimensions of the dresser from that.
Here are some pieces I like:
I like the tall sides to the changing table area on the first one, and I love the drawers and cabinet look on the second. So I'll likely have him create one like the one on the bottom, with a few drawers, some shelving behind a door, and a small drawer for smaller items. On the top will be a removable changing table with some extra space for a basket with diapers and other supplies.I'm not sure what wood we'll be going with, I'll probably just let Dad pick that. We'll also be getting the cradle that I slept in as a baby. That one was made by my Dad back in 1985, but it's still beautiful and functional. That'll be in our room for the first few months of baby's life.

Hi! Just found your blog so I know this info, might come way too late however, Baby's Dream makes the dresser/changing table a really cool way. It has the high "lip" type thing around the top for when you are using is as a changing table, but when it's a dresser you actually flip the whole thing over and top becomes bottom and the drawers flip over and everything and then then when it's a dresser it doesn't have the lip. Does that make sense?? Hopefully so!! Congrats on the new baby!!
