Bringing New England to the South

One of my favorite parts of going up to Connecticut is always coming back with new fun stuff for our house, usually stolen from my Mom's stuff - thanks, Ma! Anyway, this time I came back with a gold barn star and a weather stick. The weather stick actually came from Amazon, but I remembered I wanted one when I was up in CT. While I was on Amazon, I decided to finally get around to buying the Gadsden flag I've wanted for so long. Once all that was up, I added in the mums I found for $7.50 on clearance at Lowe's. I also have a bench waiting for us at my parents' house next time someone comes down with a large vehicle. I can't wait to add that, it'll look so good!

And a close-up of my weather stick - so practical!

1. Meant to tell you the other day your house looked awesome when I was there! I love those stars! And mums. Next year, I'm getting some for sure.

2. What on earth is a weather stick?!

lol...thanks! A weather stick is a stick that tells the weather (I think it works by detecting high/low pressure). It points up if the weather is going to be nice and down if the weather is going to be bad.
