7 Months Today!

I can't believe how big she's getting! She's up about 1lb 6oz and a 1/2in this month!!! Ellie's finally gotten the hang of rolling over (both ways!), though she does get stuck sometimes. Like this morning at 4am. Oh well, at least it's easily solved! Flipping her back over is much easier than making a middle-of-the-night bottle. Her next milestone should be sitting, and I'm guessing crawling isn't too far off since she's been working really hard to scoot herself forward when she's on her tummy. She's got the back flop/scoot move down pat, but can't seem to get the army crawl just yet. That's fine with me, as much as I love seeing her hit all these milestones, our house is not babyproofed at all yet. Some friends at church offered us a bunch of baby gates, so I'm waiting until I see what they have for us before I start buying new things.

Another fun milestone we've hit recently is separation anxiety. I left Ellie with Tom a few nights ago to do some grocery shopping and got several phone calls of increasing desperation from Tom with Ellie just screaming her little baby head off in the background. I'm pretty sure I broke a few laws getting home after the last call, and as soon as I stepped in the door she stopped crying. She absolutely loves Tom and he can get her laughing better than anyone else (except maybe Joey haha), but she's definitely going through a phase where she just wants to be held by me. Hopefully this new phase doesn't affect the plans that Tom and I have made to go out on a date next week...

Weight: 12lb 14oz

Height: 23.25in

Size: 0-3 and a few 3-6

Milestones: Can now roll tummy to back and back to tummy, sit and stand assisted, experiencing some separation anxiety, and gives hugs!

Likes: The big hit of this month was Joey. She just loves to pet him, watch him, play with him. Her favorite trick was watching him jump for Pringles! She just though that was hysterical (though I think she was pretty tired at the time, and being tired seems to make her get giggly). She's also starting to get more into toys that make noise, like her cell phone and her light-up seahorse. Oh, we've also discovered that she's a big Elmo fan. I don't let her watch TV very often, but when she does, Sesame Street is one of the few shows that I trust.

Dislikes: She doesn't like her bouncy seat anymore...any time I put her in it, she starts getting cranky after just a few minutes. She also doesn't really like prune juice, even diluted. She'll drink a few mouthfuls and then she just makes a face and starts spitting it out.

Aww she's getting so big!

Separation Anxiety for H has only gotten worse. Right now we can't even let anyone else hold her (even if we are standing right next to her and holding her hand!) or she'll start screaming! Aaron and I are planning a date night next week at some point for his birthday and I'm nervous about how it's going to go leaving her with my Aunt & Uncle. I hope it goes well with your guys date!

Ugh...I think that's one of the pitfalls to staying at home...they just don't get used to anyone else! We're planning to leave her with her Nana, but I think we might just wait until she goes down for the night and sneak out. Who knew I'd still be sneaking out once I had kids?? lol

Haha, same here. We left her with my parents the last time we were in Seattle so we could go see a movie and we had to distract her with FOOD to leave! Ha!

It seems that whenever they don't see you leave they are fine, so if you can sneak out (hehe) then I doubt she'll notice :)
