...but never before have I felt called to participate. But this year, everything is different. This year, I have a daughter, and this year, I am affected.
On April 24th, Tom, Ellie, myself, and one million other participants will join the March of Dimes March for Babies. Will you march with us?
Since beginning the March for Babies in 1970, the March of Dimes has raised $1.8 billion (yes, billion with a B!) for research and programs benefitting babies. This funding goes toward research and awarness campaigns so that someday every baby will be born full-term and healthy.
Research done with funding from the March of Dimes has developed surfactant to help premature babies breathe, provided information on the link between folic acid and neural tube deficiences to pregnant mothers, and engineered medicines and therapies to help repair fatal birth defects. The March of Dimes does great work to help all of our kids lead healthier lives right from the start.
