I Really Ought to be Sleeping

It's midnight right now and I'm still up...I think it's because last night was all screwy, which threw off today, which is throwing off tonight. I put Ellie down in her crib last night and she slept until about 2am. She refused to go back to sleep until 4am. Ouch. Then I tried to nap this morning and just couldn't really get into it. But I think the hours of trying to nap and my building excitement/nervousness for my interview on Monday got the best of me and here I am, blogging while I should be sleeping.

So this interview...I'm excited! And nervous...like I said above. Ha. Anyway, it's a position for a finance person at the church we attend. Part-time, only 10 hours per week, and it would be doing a lot of data entry, some budget stuff, and some benefits administration stuff. I've never worked in a church before, but I have a lot of experience with HR benefits as well as data entry and revenue accounting, so I think I'm game. Plus I haven't met a software product I haven't been able to master yet, so I'm sure I'll be able to figure out whatever they're using for the church. As far as I know (which isn't too much right now), the job would start sometime in March. The interview is on Monday and of course the whole thing is predicated on being able to either work from home or bring Ellie in with me at least part of the time. If we can't work something out, the whole thing will be moot. But I think it'll be good for me to get at least a little mental exercise and get out of the house and I think 10 hours is just enough without being too much.

What's going on in the world of Ellie right now? Not too much new. She's doing OK with supplementing with formula. Some days she'll take more than other days, but usually no more than 2oz at a sitting. I'm OK with that, I just keep offering and don't sweat it either way. She's still primarily breastfed so if she doesn't want the formula, I just assume she's gotten enough that way. We go in on Friday for our follow-up, I have a feeling she's gained some good weight (she's getting VERY close to outgrowing her newborn stuff, if she keeps up this pace I think it'll only be 2-3 more weeks until we're fully in 0-3 - FINALLY!), but I'm not sure what they'll say about continuing to supplement. I think we'll probably keep going with the supplement until March, when we'll add some solids to the mix. Then those times when I would have offered formula, I'll offer solids instead. She still can be quite the fussy, but when she's in a happy mood she's just such a delight to be around. I'm completely in love with her and so is Tom.
