Good-bye First Trimester!

I am officially 13 weeks and one day today, and with the general consensus being that the first trimester ends sometime in week 13, I'm officially calling it. Yay! It's quite amazing how quickly the first trimester passed for me, although I suppose that's probably because A) I never had morning sickness, so I've felt great throughout and time flies when you're not hurling your guts out and feeling miserable 24/7 (I really feel for you ladies with bad morning sickness *Christie*) and B) by thetime we found out about our little sneaky baby here, I was already almost a month and a half along. The story of how precious baby Skypek came to be was actually a very interesting and surprising experience, I'm sure someday I'll make a post about it. But not today.

Here's this week's bump! Now that my uterus is officially up out of the pelvis, it should actually start looking like a baby bump and less like "extra Shannon" - thanks, Tom. I also figured the end of the first trimester would be a great time to start filling out this weekly pregnancy journal I've been seeing on a lot of different blogs - modified for my own purposes of course.

How far along? 13 weeks and 1 day!

Best moment this week: Finding out the baby is now as big as my fist!

What I am looking forward to: Feeling the baby move...now that I know it's a possibility, it's all I can think about!

Weekly Wisdom: Don't discuss your parenting plans with your coworkers, but do discuss them with your hubby :)

Milestones: Kissing the first trimester good-bye!

Yay for 2nd Tri!

The absolute worst of my morning sickness was from 14 weeks to just about 20 weeks though - not to scare you, but it can hit at any time...I hope you continue to miss it though, I wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Oh no!!! I thought I was out of the woods! :-P That's ok, I kind of figured pretty much any of the symptoms can happen at any time. So I guess now I'll set 20 weeks as my goal lol
