Busy, busy, busy weekend for us again!
Yesterday we spent some time knocking on doors for John McCain -- just reminding people to get out and vote on Tuesday. At this point, we're not trying to change minds. Then, in the evening, we went to get some sushi with our friends, Shannon and Willis. We LOVE Matsu Sushi and had a ton of fun introducing Willis to the Vegas roll and the Spider roll.
This morning, we did some more campaign work. This time, we were doing literature drops at local Christian churches. The message wasn't just for McCain, it was for a pro-life ticket. Those are my favorite to do because I truly believe in the cause. Most of the churches were agreeable, but we did hit up a Presbyterian church that made us leave. Well, they didn't make us leave, but they made it very clear that they did not agree with what we were doing.
We really need to start looking for a church again. I really feel like something is missing in my life when we aren't attending church regularly and we just haven't put in the effort in to find one that fits us just right since we've moved. We'll just have to keep looking, I guess!

Glad to hear the lit drop went well. Sounds like that was the case region wide, despite last night's theatrics. You guys are always welcome to join us at St. Tims in Chantilly!
THanks for the advice! I have only ordered one thing from Home Decorator's, a bookcase, and I was really happy with it! The desk that I LOVE from there is probably not going to be in the budget, but a new rug probably will be!
PS I can totally relate with your struggle in picking a church...just pray!
