Ellie's been having a little runny nose going on the past few days and this combined with her sleeping issues (and topped off with a night of being awake from 11pm-3am) convinced me to bring her in for a quick check-up with the pediatrician yesterday. The good news is that her lungs sound great and this seems to be just a normal cold and should run its course. The bad news is that there apparently is no such thing as baby Ambien - can you believe that?? The doc agreed with me that the disordered sleep we've been having is simply a developmental hiccup and should go away on its own. Hopefully soon. We just have to soldier on in the meantime. Last night she didn't fall asleep until after midnight. I miss having "alone time" with Tom in the evenings, and I miss having time to myself to decompress before bed. So send us sleepy vibes if you've got 'em!
Also - since my last monthly weight was just a guesstimate, I decided to do the math and average the weight gain from her 10 month weigh-in to yesterdays and figure out about what she would have been in the middle of those two weights and got the exact weight I'd guessed! She may have been a little bit heavier since we're still about a week and a half shy of her birthday (can you believe it?!), but I think it's definitely close enough.
Mom and Dad visited this weekend and, as always, the trip was much too short. They brought us a coffee table and dining set that my aunt handed down to us and they look great in our living and dining rooms, I'll have to post pictures sometime. The downstairs level of the house is (finally) coming together - just a few more things to add/change and it'll pretty much be done!

Hey! Totally unrelated, but your Yahoo Mail account was hacked. I just got an email from "you" asking for a wire transfer since you've been arrested in England :-P
I tried to get to you on FB but your wall is gone and I wasn't sure if you were hacked there too so I didn't want to message you and get my account hacked as well.

Thanks, Christie. I just sent out an email from my gmail account, but I don't have everyone on my FB account on there, so of course everyone didn't get it. That Yahoo account actually isn't one I've ever created, so I'm trying to get it shut down, but not sure if it'll work. No one's gotten back to me yet :(
