Poor baby Ellie has a bad case of diaper rash. It was starting to look a little red, so we were using Desitin, but it didn't seem to do much for her and the rash went downhill quickly. So now we've been doing the standard air dry/sunlight/Maalox/Butt Paste combo. Please pray that it works well and quickly, she's been pretty miserable the past few days, even with Tylenol.
Because of this (and perhaps a growth spurt? She's been eating all.the.time. the past few days), we've had 3 really awful nights in a row. I went to bed at 10:30 and Tom was watching the baby, then they came up to bed after the Yankees game (they won, yay!) around 1:00 and I gave up on sleeping when I still wasn't able to get her down by 2:45. It really is so much easier to just skip sleep until she's really out than to try to sleep and keep getting woken up every 15 minutes.
I'm really praying for the night when she'll give us 8 hours of solid sleep. I know it'll come some day, I have faith, but it seems so far off right now. I'm really hoping she'll sleep through the night by 4 months adjusted, so before my birthday in March. Just hanging in there...
