I spoke with both my boss and our big HR boss this afternoon and I'm feeling much better. They were told they needed to cut 10% of the staff and unfortunately with the way they decided to reorganize things, that meant Suzanne. Both of them said they see a lot of potential in me and that the reorganization of our team will mean new opportunities and responsibilities for me.
I'm excited at the prospect of new and different work. One can only do administrative tasks for so long before going crazy. Unfortunately the price for those new opportunities is very steep. So for now, I'm not sure exactly what's going to happen, but my job is safe. Thanks for the prayers :)
