Looking Forward to 2009

I still can't really grasp the fact that this is the last night of 2008. We are now 3 hours away from January 1, 2009. Another year older, another year wiser. 2008 moved so quickly and even though we have had some wonderful changes this year, much is still the same.

Which, for me, is perfect. I have a wonderful husband who is loyal to a fault, a loving family, a beautiful house, and a job that I feel suits me and my life right now. It's nice...especially after the whirlwind that was 2007. I mean, in that one year, I graduated undergrad, got my first "real" job, we got married and traveled Europe for 2 weeks, bought a house, Tom found a new job, and graduated grad school. Crazy.

2008 certainly hasn't been able to top that. I found a new job back in April, and of course there was the PCOS diagnosis to deal with in the summer, and we got a new car when my Saturn finally cost more money to keep than it was worth. But other than that, things have been very tranquil.

Here's to hoping 2009 turns that around for some very good reasons!

Good luck and blessings to all of you in this new year!
