It really is remarkable when I look back at how far she's come. Last night I was rocking her in her room with a sippy cup and thinking how just a little over a year ago, I was sitting on the floor putting her clothes away for the first time and anxious to meet her. I can't believe she came the very next day. It was hectic and frightening, but amazing at the same time. We returned to the NICU on Wednesday evening to drop off some Beanie Babies my mom donated. It was very strange walking through those halls, I came to know them so well when Ellie was in the NICU, but I haven't been there in months. Not since her discharge. There were some familiar faces, but they were all OB nurses, we didn't see anyone from the NICU. I'm so glad that our tiny little girl is now so full of vitality. She's got such a sweet, friendly, welcoming personality, she's just a dream to have around.
Weight: 17lb 8oz and on the weight chart!!
Size: 9 months
Milestones: I could swear she's starting to say "Hi". She won't say "Mama" or "Dada" with any degree of regularity, but it seems that very often when we're entering into a new place with people around, she'll just yell out "Hi!".
Likes: People...she is such a people person! She absolutely loves to meet new people and you can tell she gets disappointed when she tries to get someone's attention and they don't notice her. Her new thing is this cute little scrunch-face smile that shows off all her teeth.
