Ellie's follow-up appointment with the pediatrician was yesterday and it went VERY well, thank God! I was not told this at our last appointment, but apparently her head circumference had actually started to fall off the chart as well as her weight/height. So not good. But her weight is now up to 10lb 5oz! That puts her weight at the 3rd percentile, her height at the 10th percentile, and her head circumference at the 5th percentile (all adjusted for prematurity, of course). The doctor wants Ellie to put on a few more pounds so that her height and weight are more equal, but she thinks she's doing great and we just have to keep doing what we're doing! We won't go back in until her 6 month appointment on the 8th. If we can make it that long, we'll beat our previous record of 17 days between doctor visits (if you don't include her lab work today or next week)!
So yay for a growing girl!
