I went to Walmart this weekend to pick up the last few gallons of paint I need to finish painting our house and the first thing the clerk asked was if we were "those people" who repaint their house every year. Tom and I were a bit confused and just said no. Apparently, he had gotten this idea from the fact that the last time we had bought paint at Walmart was exactly one year ago.
I'm still working on the same project I started a YEAR ago. Oh my goodness. It really makes me feel as if I've accomplished absolutely nothing this year. I cannot believe my life has changed so little that I'm still not even done painting our house.
So, with that revelation, I've decided to kick it into high gear and finish painting it already. I spent yesterday afternoon finishing up my master bath and I LOVE it. The color's a little bright, but I think it's so perfect. I washed the shower curtain and my new towels yesterday evening, so when I go home today I get to put on the final touches of my beautiful new bathroom. I'll be sure to post pictures!
Next up: finishing painting our bedroom. I have tried not once, not twice, but THREE times to finish that room. The first time, I ran out of paint, the second time, the paint color didn't match exactly, and the third time I ran out again. So this time I gave up and bought a whole gallon. Once I'm done painting that (I really only have two walls left), we get to buy our new furniture!!! Yay for grown-up bedroom furniture!!!!!!!!!
