Random Updates

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been updating lately, I've been working on launching a new blog, novakidsnow.com. I'm hoping eventually I can make a little money with it and I do have a few followers already. I plan to start marketing in the next couple of months (just dropping off business cards w/the address at different places), so I'm hoping to get some more followers that way. It's a slow process, but you have to start somewhere!

Ellie's doing her thing, learning new things every day. She's been picking up tons of words lately and she loves animals and babies. Recently she's learned how to either sign or say "dog", "cat", "bird", "fish", and "Nana". I'm still waiting on her to figure out that I'm "Mama".

We're starting to think about giving the potty a try. One of the other signs she's picked up recently is "potty", and she can walk well, so as far as I'm concerned, it's time to at least give it a try. My plan is to let her run around naked so she can feel what's happening for 3 days or so and if she seems to be picking up on it in that time, we'll stick with it. If not, then we'll scrap it for a few months and try again later. I'm not going to go crazy with it, but she's really been exceeding my expectations lately in the things that she can do and the things that she wants to do, so we'll see.
